Testers have spotted that a recent Windows 11 preview update presents a watermark on the desktop wallpaper when it detects the hardware doesn’t meet Microsoft’s strict minimum requirements, as reported by The Verge. It also produces an alert within the Settings app. Microsoft requires PC hardware that has at least 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage; UEFI secure boot enabled; a graphics card that’s compatible with DirectX 12 or later, with a WDDM 2....

Think again. Microsoft says it will offer Cloud PCs running Windows 11 when the new OS reaches General Availability later this year. But for now, the only way to try Windows 11 is by installing a preview build. You’re welcome to connect a Cloud PC to the Windows Insider Program and download the latest version, but I predict that installation will fail. The only way to recover is to visit the Windows 365 dashboard and hit the Reset button, which will in turn wipe out all your customizations....

This shift is reflected in the Australian retail grocery giant’s latest half-year results, with the company reporting group e-commerce sales jumped 48% year-on-year to AU$3.5 billion for the period. The human resources and financial cloud software company is launching Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization. The new tools allow companies to shift schedule and give frontline workers flexibility and control. Hourly and shift workers, often called frontline employees, have been in short supply. Workers are reevaluating careers in healthcare, hospitality, retail and leisure. Companies are looking to engage these frontline workers and avoid shortages. Workday launched Workday Scheduling in May and now is adding Labor Optimization....

Those rumors were true, with Apple adding custom workouts, new watch faces and several more new health features to its wearable. Apple demonstrated several new health features that focused on providing more data about your workouts, including heart rate zones, and more data in general about your physical health. In addition to adding new health features to the watch, Apple is making the Fitness app available to all iPhone users in iOS 16....
